Gate guarding UPDATE

Well, as of now, our gate guard dream is fading. Only bc we don’t own our RV and nobody rents them anymore that we can find, in the Gate Guard business. We were really hoping to do that. God seems to have closed the door but maybe He will open another one in that area. Nothing is impossible. We found one but they wanted us to be there 3 months, home 2 wks, there 3 months, home 2 wks, continuous and I have 6 kids and 2 grandsons and my youngest daughter is underage and we can’t leave her. She can’t go unless she is licensed to be behind the gate, even if she’s not working and she can’t be licensed until she is 18. 

But anyway, hubby is going to try to find work around here for now. If he can’t find anything, we might have to see if that Gate Guard job is still available. It probably won’t be. I don’t know why they don’t rent RV’s at Gate’s anymore for Gate Guards. It seems like that would be really convenient for them. It’s hard to pass it up, I wish Rikki was 18. I just can’t leave a 15 year old to be raised the rest of the way by someone else. It’s hard enough to leave the other 2 teenagers and the 3 grown kids and 2 grands.

We’re grilling out pork chops, hot dogs and having baked potatoes today. Shane has the grilled fired up right now. Pork chops are so good on the grill!

It has been a long day. We had to go to Carbondale to take Rick his phone and get Jess’ SS card, go to the DMV 3 times!! They kept needing more stuff!! Had to go to the courthouse 2 times bc they wouldn’t take a debit or check the 1st time. We were there with Jess’ ID (from the the DMV) to sign her up for her GED class. She takes her GED on the 26th of this month. She got the last slot open to take her test!! Close call!

I better help Shane get the food going. Rick just got home from work and is getting the houseplants in. It’s going to freeze again tonight. This weather is bipolar.

After supper, I want to just crash in bed and watch tv or get online. It has been a loooong day and I am ready to just relax! This old gal..is old lol

Oh!! Landen is crawling now!! YAY!! He will be 8 months old on the 17th! Time flies! Cooper is 16 months! Love my grandsons SO MUCH!!!! <3
